Harpia Publishing L.L.C.2018English96 pg.978-0-9973092-5-6Review written by: Rene VerjansAs we know from Hapia Publishing, this has also become a splendid publication. This book focusses on the state of being of the Chinese Naval army forces and her accompanying aircrafts in the year 2018. Modern Chinese Warplanes
Harpia Publishing2018English237 pg.978-0-9973092-6-3 / 978-0-9973092-8-7Review written by: Rene VerjansTwo reviews in one on Chinese warplanes and Army Aviation! I previously was already enthusiastic about the books of Andreas Rupprecht, published by Harpia Publishing, and also now I have to really say that I have two great new books on my bookshelf. The Air force book is with 240 pages slightly thicker than the […]

Red Dragon ‘Flankers’, China’s Prolific ‘Flanker’ Family
Harpia Publishing Verlags GmbH2022English254 pg.978-1-950394-10-4Review written by: Rene VerjansAndreas Rupprecht writes cool books! And who says Rupprecht, says China! This is the umpteenth book of him, published by Harpia Publishing. I am really very happy with this publisher and what they have published till now. On their site it states at the category ‘Strategic handbooks’, only 1 book, but, as far as I am concerned, all the books – also this one – can be stated in this category, when it concerns nowadays airforces or other flying army units. As the quality and information value can be rated as ‘good’!

Pen & Sword Books2013English516 pg.9781783461882Review written by: Max HeldringMany stories go around about the heroic air battles during World War II, but in this beautiful bounded book, that exist of 516 pages with a lot of great black and white pictures, specifically the air-war of the period 1941-1944 in the north-western part of Australian is described. And how! It describes every air battle […]

Aerospace design
2003English, Dutch191 pg.1858942071These days I am increasingly wondering whether I, as a reviewer of books, am critical enough. Could there possibly be a downside to holding a PPL License which might be causing me to devour only good books instead of reading mediocre to bad books and drilling them into the ground with a flourish? Is it […]

Memories in mud
Between 6500 and 7500 (!) planes crashed or were shot down in the Netherlands during WWII. We are talking here of bombers, fighters and reconnaissance planes, the vast majority belonging to the British, American and German air forces, not all of which have been recovered. It is estimated that around 1500 to 2000 aircraft have […]
