Newgate’s Knocker: An Aviation Thriller – Greg W. Peterson

‘Newgate’s Knocker: An Aviation Thriller’ is the name of this new book!  The subtitle Death Pulse provides a clue to the plot of this first book of  Greg Peterson. It is a story about a planned terrorist attack on the USA, with more than superficial likeness to the dramatic events of 9/11.  So planes play a key role in his tale.

Greg obviously has an aviation background, and made serious work of researching FBI and U.S. state troopers’ code of conduct. To this already virulent cocktail a sniff of nuclear warfare background is added and you have the ingredients of this Aviation Thriller….it goes without saying that a love-affair between the cockpit and the cabin is also present.

Without giving away the plot it is a classic good guys against bad guys story, with in the classic sense a predictable outcome. Sure enough the bad guys have maffia-style Italian names, but surprise, the top cop goes under the name of …Capone!

It is an easy and entertaining story, especially for readers with some aviation background. The story is not so unsettling that it will disturb your dreams after reading before “lights out”. Mr. Peterson, if you try your hand again at writing, please inform me.
